How to get there

Salou is one of those coastal Spanish towns which has flourished under the bountiful gaze of tourism, which has helped develop the many ways you can get there.

Barcelona Airport

The easiest way to get to Spain is by plane. Barcelona Airport is the biggest airport in Catalonia and is therefore the one which offers the most flight combinations.

The most important question is, do you want to go to Salou? Or do you want to go straight to the accommodation at Cambrils Park Resort?

To reach either from here is very easy. A train leaves the airport every half an hour (at 0.08 and 0.38) and takes roughly half an hour to get to Barcelona Sants, Barcelona’s biggest train station. You will simply have to go up the stairs to the main area and go down again to platform 11 and 12. Trains to both places will depart from either of those platforms, so keep an eye out for your train! Cambrils Park Resort

To reach the Cambrils Park Resort is fairly straightforward. After getting to Sants station, you can take any of the trains in the image below and get off at Vila-Seca, the stop after Port Aventura-Salou we will talk about below. This train leaves roughly every 30m from Barcelona, with some exceptions, so watch out!

From Vila-Seca station you can get a bus just 7 minutes away which, in just 11m, will leave you at a 5 minute walk from the accommodation.

This is probably the easiest way to get here (we recommend you search for it on Maps, as it’ll be the easiest way for you to find your way).

Getting to the Resort

On the right you can find the best way to get from Vila-Seca to the Cambrils Park Resort.

If, for whatever reason, you want to stop at Salou first and go for a dip, here is the timetable from Sants to Salou, keep in mind that the only one which goes directly is the R17, which is a slower train which stops everywhere. The other combinations, one where two lines are visible, will have you stopping in Tarragona (the stop before) and getting on the following train to finish your trip to Salou.

Pro Tip: Buy your ticket in the airport to go straight to Salou, as it’ll be cheaper than getting one to Barcelona and then another to Salou.

Alternatively you could catch a bus from the airport to Salou here: https://www.busplana.com/en

There is a bus every hour, but it is more expensive than the train (like double).

Reus Airport

A great option is Reus Airport, just 15 minutes drive to Salou or a 30-minuter bus ride.

Here is the timetable of the yellow bus you can take from just outside the airport. The price of the ticket to Salou is €6.75. Alternatively you could take a Taxi, which costs around €36.

I'm at Salou STation, now what?

Unfortunately for you, dear train traveler, Salou decided to close the train station located in the centre of town (due to an excess of human pancakes). The sole station now is the Port Aventura - Salou train stop.

This will leave you meters away from Universal Studios’ theme park (which you should visit if you can) but a good 25 minute walk from the center of town. There is a bus that will take you there in 20 mins, which leaves after each train arrival and costs €2.05 (prices may vary so take some extra change). To get to the accommodation you will have to take said bus…and walk 30 minutes to get there.

Overall we would recommend you take the first option, getting off at VilaSeca and then get the bus.
